James Reidel is a poet who works in other genres, including biography, fiction, and non-. His latest book-length narrative is the first revisionary history of the Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle trials of 1921 and ’22 based on the recently discovered court reporter transcripts of all three manslaughter trials and on the real life of the silent film comedian’s alleged victim, the actress and model Virginia Rappe. His translations of Franz Werfel’s poetry have appeared on numerous occasions in Mudlark. His latest prose poems are forthcoming in The Café Review.
