Garin Cycholl Garin Cycholl teaches writing and literature at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he is also one of the editors for Near South. His work has appeared in LVNG, moria, New Orleans Review, -VeRT, Blue Sky Review, Sidereality, and Skanky Possum. Other poems from “The Americans” series will soon appear in the Chicago Review. The poems here use multiple voices and other art forms (i.e. drama, film, and jazz) as meditative objects to explore the play between narrative and the poem in general.
