world without
end amen
a bison’s shoulders are so big because the head weighs 300 pounds
God in the lion the lamb the dawn
the dusk movement of the body in the direction of force
is less wounding than movement contrary to force
every night she and i love
with happiness insistence and the infinity required to cross the light barrier
the deep longing transparent in the curvature of space
for gravity unites us wings us even as the exact composition of light
eludes physicists similar to the way the lift of her eyebrow the recesses
of her jaw and neckline her collarbones elude description
o God i see now nothing travels faster
than light except perhaps grace the distance between stars
