Hey Walt, It’s Me, Steve,
on the Internet!

I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

I celebrate 17-year-old Steven Stark of Scottish side Crossgates, who scored one second-half goal and set up another in a 4-0 victory in the Scottish Cup;

I celebrate Steven Stark, the religious leader of the Gospel Light Tabernacle in Hicksville, Ohio, to whom any correspondence regarding the church should be directed;

I celebrate Steven Stark of Albion Springs, Michigan, who lost a hand to amputation but found a new purpose by creating jewelry, according to press reports;

I celebrate Steven Stark, zoning and research director of the Alachua School District in Gainesville, Florida, who was instrumental in splitting three neighborhoods between the Talbot and Norton Elementary Schools;

I celebrate Steven Stark of Ponca City, Oklahoma, who, according to his Facebook page, was in a relationship with Mocha Bree and subscribed to boxer Floyd Mayweather’s updates;

I celebrate Steven Stark, a resident of Los Gatos, California, who was issued a patent for a pizza insert for a barbeque grill;

I celebrate Steven Stark, COO of A New Horizon Credit Counseling Services in Ft. Lauderdale, who helpfully pointed out that business owners were turning to alternative funding after the recession;

I celebrate podiatrist Steven Stark, a doctor whose professional career has been marked by repeatedly breaking new ground in the field of sports medicine and biomechanics, at least according to his own website;

I celebrate Steven Stark, who posted on the VidBlaster Google group site that he purchased a VidBlaster but couldn’t display video from BlackMagic cards;

I celebrate the same Steven Stark, who posted on that site an hour and 37 minutes later that he found some useful information after more searching and was now downloading 1.36;

I celebrate Steven Stark, who, along with his brother John, heads a company founded by his parents that specializes in custom designed carpet, fabric, furniture, and wallcovering for both the residential and contract markets all over the world;

I celebrate Steven Stark, a director in England of “People Who Do,” an organizational and personal development consultancy that seeks to make work better, and who in his spare time, shares the childcare, cleans the house, and looks after bees.

I celebrate Steven Stark, who is shown in a YouTube Video performing his song, “Insufficient Fun,” at the Shake That Donkey voter drive in 2004;

I celebrate Steven Stark — at least I think it’s Steven Stark — who left the only comment on that same YouTube video when he wrote, “How dare you have the same fuckin name as me.”

Steven D. Stark is the author of a few books of non-fiction. See his Amazon Page. His fiction and poetry have recently been published in 3 am, LITnIMAGE, Mobius, McSweeney’s and, among others, Clapboard House, where he won the short story prize.
