Non c’è riparo dalle tue chiamate
dagli esse emme esse inaciditi

in cui affondo in onde elettrizzate
senza filo sui crediti finiti.

                         ★ ★ ★

There’s no refuge from your calls,
from your text sms’s turning sour
where I founder in electric waves
on wireless credit that’s run out.
Battery smashed, I have no plug
to recharge my derided heart.
I dream of an unexpected ring
that would reverberate for me,
chiming like bells, a clarion
of words resounding loud and clear
—and not a message-service tomb
for an old voice declaring its love.
For such a perfect love it’s not
enough to press the cancel key.
