these fatherless fathers
are the fathers of loneliness

annihilation born of them and their lovelessness
men with gone eyes abrasions contusions lacerations
incised wounds stab wounds wounds by firearm in towns like lidice

in places like sand creek fort robinson in stellar nucleosynthesis the natural abundances
of the chemical elements within stars change some men exist
with no light in their eyes
nuclear fusion reactions in the cores and overlying mantels of stars
these men were abandoned
their hands harm us their fractures and dislocations
we are anyway the dogwood blossoming bloodmark on our forehead
hands and feet our side your kisses
